January 31, 2012- Memphis, TN- Glankler Brown member Robert L. Hutton ‘85 was inducted into the Christian Brothers High School Hall of Fame on January 29, along with ten other honorees, including Thomas A. Bennett ’57, Paul M. Hanson, Sr. ’57, Stephen Michael Dwyer ’64, John A. King ’66, William Knight Walsh ’75, Joseph T. Getz ’77, Robert Andrew Crone ’78, Frank J. Gattuso, Jr. ’80, Christopher T. Whitman ’85, and Terrence Garbuzinksi ’81 (deceased).
Candidates are chosen by the Hall of Fame membership on the basis of their personal accomplishments, civic and public contributions and support of or involvement with activities of interest to the school. CBHS graduates must have graduated a minimum of 20 years prior to selection. The CBHS Hall of Fame was established in 1968. Since then, 494 men, living and deceased, have been inducted into the group (397 of whom are CBHS grads) by their peers.
Hutton practices generally in litigation, with substantial experience in federal civil rights, constitutional law, general business litigation, and criminal law. His credentials include having argued several cases before the United States Court of Appeals, the Tennessee Appellate Courts and the Tennessee Supreme Court. Mr. Hutton is privileged to be one of the few attorneys to have argued a case before the United States Supreme Court. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University.
