Douglas P. Quay

Douglas P. Quay is a corporate attorney, fintech executive, entrepreneur, and board advisor with more than 30 years of experience in the intersection of banking, financial services, technology, capital markets, and corporate finance. He serves as a Member of Glankler Brown, PLLC while also leading innovative financial technology ventures focused on digital banking, payments, embedded finance, and next-generation financial infrastructure.
Throughout his legal career, Mr. Quay has represented public and private companies, financial institutions, investment funds, and emerging technology companies in complex corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, structured finance, secondary market mortgage sale transactions, securitizations, capital raising, venture investments, and strategic partnerships. His practice spans corporate governance, securities law, banking regulation, financial institution transactions, technology licensing, and commercial finance including aircraft finance, project finance, and sophisticated debt and equity financings.
In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Quay is an accomplished fintech executive with extensive leadership experience building and scaling digital financial services businesses. As Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of Bambu Systems, LLC (d/b/a MyBambu), he has focused on developing technology platforms that enable digital banking, embedded finance, payments, lending, and innovative financial products for banks, credit unions, and other financial institutions. His work bridges traditional banking with emerging technologies to create customer-centric financial ecosystems.

His experience includes advising issuers, underwriters, lenders, investors, originators, trustees, and sponsors in both public offerings and private capital transactions.
Recognized for combining legal judgment with executive business experience, Mr. Quay regularly works with boards of directors, executive management teams, investors, founders, and financial sponsors on transformational transactions and long-term strategic initiatives. His unique perspective as both outside counsel and operating executive allows him to bridge legal, regulatory, operational, and commercial considerations in highly regulated industries.
Mr. Quay earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Vanderbilt University, his Juris Doctor from the University of Memphis, and his Master of Laws (LL.M.) (in Taxation) from New York University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Tennessee and has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America for Corporate Law and holds the Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent rating.
