Instead, he points to the sworn testimony of the guards and, most importantly, to the autopsy reports.
For example, the coroner’s report concluded that the cause of death was a methamphetamine overdose, with no other causes identified in the autopsy. The same doctor is prepared to testify that no physical restraints could have caused the death.
It was also charged that the casino employs untrained security guards, but everyone involved in casino security actually has a certificate from a state regulatory agency that requires at least 32 hours of field training. Judge Patrick Madden is presiding over the trial, and the outcome is still in doubt.
The case is titled Jonathan Jung’s Estate v. The Bicycle Casino Inc., case number 22STCV21242, in Los Angeles County Superior Court.
